project:HOMES staff recognized a gap in local services and decided to do something about it. Launching in the summer of 2016, the Keep It Cool RVA! initiative serves low-income families by providing & installing AC window units June 1 - August 15. This grassroots concept has been a major success thanks to local partnering restaurants, events and businesses. In 2016 we provided 40 AC units and during the summer of 2018 we were able to provide 408 thanks to our partner, Dominion Energy.
