project:HOMES addresses affordable housing from an energy-conserving standpoint. A home that conserves more energy is not only more comfortable but it also reduces the resident's carbon footprint and annual energy costs. A home that is made more energy-efficient is also made more affordable. project:HOMES is the lead Weatherization agency in the region, allowing us to make energy improvements to homes and apartments in 11 cities and 23 counties in Virginia.

Contractors for Energy Conservation/Weatherization
Seeking specifically licensed; Insulation/Air Seal, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and General Contractors for Federal Energy Conservation projects. Contractors must have a class A or B license, at least 2 years’ experience working specifically in licensed trade, and at least 2 years in their specialty license i.e. HVAC, Electrical, etc. Must be licensed to work in the State of VA. Must carry General Liability Insurance, Automobile Liability Insurance, and Workers Compensation Insurance.
