We welcome individual and group volunteers, skilled or not, for weekdays or weekends.  Currently, we have a need for skilled individuals, retired or not who can work on weekdays with our Project Manager on home repairs or as part of a team constructing and installing wheelchair ramps.

Need Services? Here's What to Do.

Renew Crew volunteers provide small-scale home repairs and accessibility modificiations which typically include:

  • Porch, railing & step repair

  • Exterior painting

  • Clearing overgrown yards

  • Tearing down outbuildings

  • Wheelchair ramps

  • Grab bars, ADA toilets, shower chairs & removable shower heads

Do you live in the service area below? Is your household at or below the income level listed in table? Call 804.233.2827

Above data is updated annually by the Department of Housing & Urban Development.

Our popular Wheelchair Ramp Program also offers a unique volunteer event known as a Wheelchair Ramp Blitz.  A Blitz event attracts corporate partnerships by providing employees with hands-on volunteer opportunities right outside their office! Corporate volunteers build wheelchair ramp components during the event, and in the following weeks install these components for up to eight disabled clients. Prior to each Blitz event, Renew Crew staff transport all necessary equipment from our warehouse to the participating organization, making it convenient for busy employees to give back to their community during their work day. Check out our Blitz brochure for more details.

Success! Message sent.
